Bella waved weakly and jumped down from Edward's arms, placing her hand in his. SHe was so ashamed. "Esme, Carlisle, I'm sorry..." She said silently.

Edward pulled her more towards the family.

"It's okay, Bella. the important thing is that you're safe." Esme said quietly. Carlisle nodded, he was about to say the same thing.

"Did I... say something?"
Jake asked, staring in the general direction that Kiely had run off to.

Kiely slammed her door shut.
Stupid, stupid, stupid!
She grabbed the closest thing she could find - a can of coke - and hurled it agianst the wall. It split open and the brown liquid ran down the wall to the ground.
Sobbing, she collapsed, leaning against the door with her back, head in her hands.

Edward jumped at the loud bang.
"I don't think it was you..." He said. "But, I think you should go check on her. I can't hear her thoughts." He told Jacob. Bella smiled at him weakly. She bit her lip "Jake, I'm so sorry!" She said, breaking into tearless sobs again.

"Oh, Bella, it wasn't your fault. You were right..."
Jake said, but he kept looking over his shoulder toward Kiely's house.´
What got into her? He thought.

Edward shrugged in response to Jacob's silent question.

"But, it is my fault!!" Bella said.

"It's nobody's fault, Bella. Things just got a little... Out of hand." Carlisle said.

"We all know this entire thing is completely my fault." Bella said, tilting her head.

"No, Bella, it's not. Everyone has their moments, this one just went a little further than usual. Don't blame yourself." Esme said quietly. She knew that Bella would probably keep blaming herself, but, it was worth a try, right?

"Thanks, Esme" She murmered quietly. She was so ashamed. All the shame she caused the Cullens. She hardly deserved pity.

"Really." Esme pressed, to emphasize her point. She half-smiled when Bella's eye flickered to her for a moment.

Edward smiled at Esme thankfully.
He stroked Bella's hair.

"Would you three like to go home? I'm not sure where everyone else is." Carlisle asked, looking around at the others.

Jake smiled shyly at Bella, cradled in Edward's arms.
Then he sighed. He didn't know what to do now.
He could hardly go home with the Vampires, especially since Edward and Bella would probably want some... uh... alone time.
And Kiely seemed to be mad at him. For whatever reason.
He groaned quietly letting his head fall forward.

"You can come back to our home, Jacob, if you'd like." Esme offered, quietly. She noticed Jacob's sad expression, and wanted to help.

Jake managed a smile, although it did look more like a grimace.
"Oh, no, thanks, that's okay. I'll just..."
Yeah, what exactly was he going to do?

Esme smiled slightly.
"If you insist." She said.

"You can stay with us!" Bella offered, trying to excuse her horrific behavior from before. She bit her cold, hard lip. Rosalie would kill her later.

Jake attempted a smile again.
As if reading her thoughts he said:
"Oh, no, thanks, but I really don't wanna get anywhere near Rose... No offense!" He added quickly.

(You are Rosalie, aren't you?)

Bella frowned slightly. "Where are you going to sleep?" She asked him, raising an eyebrow.
Emmett laughed. "Scared of a girl." He muttered with another chuckle.

(Yeah, I am... She's too attracted to Emmett right now to explode.. )

"I don't think I'll sleep tonight.. But you guys don't worry about me, I'll be fine.." I think... He added in his thoughts.
"Oh, and Emmett, I believe that she would rather.. uhm.. "hang out" with you than fight with me.. Don't you think?"
He grinned slyly and ran his hand through his hair again.

Emmett rolled his eyes.
"Probably. But, hey it's more action then you'll ever get, if Edward here even lets you get that far." He said with a smile.
Edward hissed and gauged Jacob's reaction.
Bella cringed, scared Edward might flip...

Jake grinned..
"So true, Emmett... Gotta give you that.."

Rose huffed angrily and pulled Emmett back a couple feet.
"No need to talk about our sex life, alright?"

Emmett laughed. "It's not like it's gonna change anything, Rose." He told her with a smile.

Bella sighed. She watched Edward carefully.

That made Rose grin, rather pervertedly.
"Emmett, you wanna go home..?"

"Relax Edward, I'll be sure to ask for permission."
Jake had meant it sarcastically, but it did sound rather sourly..
